Make a Round Stake and Strand Basket
with Mary Cross of Organic Matters
FRIDAY 28TH JUNE 2024
10AM - 4.30PM
Come and learn how to weave this traditional style of basket with Mary Cross of Organic Matters. First we weave the round base. Then we ‘upset’ the basket by adding the side stakes! The side weave determines the height of your basket. Finally we turn down the border. Depending on your ability and experience you may be able to add a handle but on a first basket it can be a more fulfilling experience to go without as it can be quite intense and can make the day feel rather rushed.
